Hi, this is Dr. Doreste with the Cranial Release Technique® back with another video, another mobile video today back in the car, out and about here in New York on Long Island. Beautiful day, hitting about 80 degrees, and I was thinking about the concept that some people have been emailing me about, which is when they learn the online training, should they decide that this is for them, they want to purchase it, how do they know that they’re getting the technique right?
I mean, I’ve given you everything you need to know between the videos and the manual, but how do you know when you’re with your patient one-on-one and you’re applying the cranial release after you’ve taken the online training? How do you know that you got it right?
So, what I’m going to recommend is that you always do some sort of what we would call a pre and post-test, a before and after. It could be anything, anything that you’re currently using. It could be leg lengths, it could be muscle testing that you do, it could be muscle reflexes that maybe you do, it could be postural assessment with the patient standing, it could be anything that you’re currently using.
How do you know that when a patient comes in and then you apply your technique, be it chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, physical therapy, whatever it is that you do, how do you know that they’ve improved by the time they leave your office?
So, I always like to do some sort of pre and post-test, before and after. Very simple one, simple as a patient would lay on their back, face up, and I would check their legs, and you’re probably going to find one leg is short, shorter than the other. What I normally then do is I turn the legs in, and what I normally find is the shorter leg, is also the tighter leg, the more restricted leg, and there’s a very significant reason for that, and I’ll explain that in another video.
Then, I’ll go and I’ll apply the cranial release on one side of the head, I’ll go to the other side of the head and do it, so I always do both sides. Takes about a minute, about 20 to 30 seconds on each side, about a minute in total. I’ll come back and I’m expecting to see improvement. If the legs don’t improve, if the short leg was short by an inch and now it’s short by a half an inch, I’m done for today with that patient. I’ve seen improvement, I’m done. Many times, it’s almost balanced, if not balanced completely in one visit, that’s usually what happens.
But if I apply the Cranial Release Technique® and nothing changes, if it was an inch short and it’s still an inch short, that tells me my technique was off. That tells me I have to go back and do it again. Maybe my contact point wasn’t exactly right, maybe my vector of force wasn’t exactly right, maybe my amount of force wasn’t exactly right. All these things blend into the recipe of a successful CRT.
So, it’s just like when you watch a chef cook something, ‘Oh, that looks so simple,’ and you try to replicate it. If you miss one of the steps or if you don’t do it the way that the chef did it, it’s not going to come out the same. If you follow the 12 steps that I teach you in the online training program, thousands of practitioners have gone through this, thousands of practitioners can reproduce what I do by following the same steps. There’s no magic to it, it’s just science, physiology, understanding landmarks in the body, understanding how to use your body, and when you’re taught how to do it properly, you’ll repeat the same results that I get, time after time.
So, the website is cranialrelease.com, for those of you who are not practitioners, you can hit the ‘Find a Practitioner‘ button and search for a practitioner in your area.
For those of you who are practitioners or are considering adding the Cranial Release Technique® to what you’re currently doing, whether it’s acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, dental, holistic nutrition, or any other modality, and you want to add one more component which might be the missing link for you, we’re affecting the central nervous system, brain, and spinal cord, which control all functions in the body. That button says ‘Online Training Program,’ that’s the one you should hit. Go to that page, read that, watch that video, and if it’s right for you, you’ll sign up and start to apply the Cranial Release Technique® in your practice.
You’ll learn in the comfort of your home or office. And, by the way, any questions that you have on the modules, the testing, the manual you’re going to receive, or the patient education you’re going to receive, any questions on any aspect, you can email me. We can set up a time to call.
I’m very accessible. I want you to be successful. I want this work to go everywhere so that more people on the planet can learn how to do this and help more people. That’s what it’s all about.
